Social activist Nikhil Dey has been sentenced to four-month imprisonment for "trespass" and "causing hurt" in a 19-year-old case.

The Kishangarh Additional District Court in Rajasthan convicted Dey, along with four others, for 'assaulting' Harmara village sarpanch Pyarelal Tank and his family on May 6, 1998.

Dey, however, denied the charges and accused the sarpanch's family of having assaulted and abused him.
